installing failing...

I am not sure why the install is failing.. but it just gets to the checksum page and then after what seems about 5 min... it says install failed.  Remove the CD and reboot.

Its an intel4 Shuttle PC 120BG HD, 1BG Mem, no floppy and I am using a USB CD rom. - which is new as I thought that was the reason why it bombed before as well.

    Check sum matches when i check on my windows box using a md5 checker.  however.. even after writing the CD it always dies with the same md4sum warming. "1 of 340 computed checksums did not match" Return code 256. I have tried CD's DVD's and writing at the slowest possible speed.  I have never had a prob writing to cd before much less reading them.  I dont know what to do..
