RED devices

Hi,

is there anyone here that has any details on the RED devices Astaro will be offering in Q2?
Will this be a black box, no management at all? 
Will this be a remote IPSec VPN enabled solution?

We have a couple of 'remote offices'-customers, that only need access to the central network, and those RED devices might be very appealing. If they'd do the trick, we don't want them to invest in a more heavy product now, to have a simpeler solution available in a couple of weeks time...

    Will these RED devices have a generic VPN capabiaity as a secondary pre-configurable connection type

    Probably never.  In any case, RED isn't based on IPsec - it uses SSL VPN technology under the covers.  The design is intended to emulate a locally-connected network, so you would need to add an Astaro at your DR site.  I bet it still would make better economic sense than having ASG 110s with a Network Security subscription.
