Hi 

you can use  /sbin/shutdown  -y -g2 -h

Broadcast message from root (pts/0) (Tue Mar  2 16:40:46 2010):

The system is going DOWN for system halt in 2 minutes!

-g is grace time in mints 
-h is halt 
-r for reboot 
 /sbin/shutdown  -y -g2 -r

Broadcast message from root (pts/0) (Tue Mar  2 16:42:27 2010):

The system is going DOWN for reboot in 2 minutes!
^C
Shutdown cancelled.


you can also run at command (google)

is there a way to schedule a reboot on a ASG version 7.4x or 7.5x ? 
reboot -r 
does not work.
Any ideas?

What's the reason for a scheduled reboot?

It was more or less a question about an unattended reboot.

The main reason for the reboot itself that the synchronization within a cluster after a software update does not work properly. 
Example, you update your cluster. master and slave do have then the same software version.
Webadmin | Management | High Availibility
While 1 device appears as master, the second device stuck in the state SYNCING. Even after 24 hours. 
I simply assume that synchronizing 2 devices ASG320 via Gigabit does not take so long. With webadmin , you can't boot the slave. A message appears that the synchonizing is on progress. After a reboot, the slave appears porperly as slave/active.

With WebAdmin, you can reboot the slave from the 'System Status' (I think) of 'Management >> High Availability'.

If there is a popup 'synchonizing on progress' you can't reboot and you will get the message 'wait until sync has finished'. And after 24 hours, it is still not finished.
