AOpen DE2700

Anyone have any experience installing ASG on this machine? I looked at the specs and they look very similar to another machine I'm already using (the MSI one in my sig) except I can't find any specs anywhere for what NIC is in there.  The device's home page (http://usa.aopen.com/products_detail.aspx?auno=2927#) says Realtek, but it doesn't give the model.  The other issue that I have is that the power supply is only 65W. Or should I just not bother with this and go with something I know works?

  • I can't speak to the compatibility of the Aopen box you listed, but I would go with the 7200RPM drive; they generally have faster random access times, which will certainly be a help if you use the http proxy caching feature of the Astaro.

you are right, but I think 5400rpm hd's are more reliable... less rpm = less heat = more life
