7.503 released

well i have to be different..i did both of my installations without incident.

Due to this being a high priority update as it affected some customers, we released 7.503 immediately. We are still on track for 7.504 with some added smaller features to be soft-released on the 25th, apologies if this caused any confusion.

For those needing to reboot after applying the up2date, we are checking into this, we might update the 7.503 patch to simply require a reboot to ensure others are not more widely affected, if we do, we'll just update the "reboot" line of the up2date blog to indicate it will indeed reboot after installation. thanks for your feedback everyone.

Can we add some minor change to 7.504 

Todays status is[SIZE="3"] Today's [/SIZE]status on dashboard 
add[SIZE="3"] http/s[/SIZE] to virus scanning on dashboard
and instead of [SIZE="3"]port [/SIZE]can we add interface or device word  (on dashboard ----- [SIZE="3"]eth0 ,eth1 )[/SIZE]
as this doesn't require any programming but it make difference

2 out of the first 3 updates I did had the had the lock up problem and had to be physically switched off and on - twice to get them to come up.  In fact, on the last one I had to subsequently install a backup to get it to route properly.

For the next 2 updates, I went back to the old tried and true method of first stopping and then starting each of the major engines (web security, mail security, etc.).  Then, after waiting for the CPU cycles to calm down, I restarted the entire unit and waited until it settled down after booting.

Finally, apply 7.503, which went on smoothly with no issues.  That worked fine for me twice.

I updated 3 ASG's with only one of them having the internal>external issues everyone has raised. The main difference between the 2 that didn't have an issue and the one that did is SMTP is enabled on the one that stop working. Other than SMTP all three have the same settings enabled.

I also noticed that the ASG did completely reconnect with the ISP (PPoE) for about 30mins than the ASG started firing emails (internally) that it couldn't reach the internet.

I was still able to access Web Admin via the internal connection to get the WAN to "Reconnect". After the Reconnect it seems to be running ok.

I have learnt my lesson.....check the forum a week post release and learn from others.

fwiw, I'm not using the smtp features but mine stopped accepting traffic on EXT.

All updates sit in the queue until you kick them off.  Wait as long as you'd like.

Just did this update today now all my VPN users cannot remote into their desktops. Should've read the notes prior to install. Tried performing restore but all it does is log me off the firewall.
