Low Power ASGs and VoIP

Hi folks,
I am currently running a Atom 330 as an ASG v7.502. Lots of features including vlans.
The VoIP traffic seems to suffer distortion on the outgoing side which makes it difficult to debug.

I have QOS enabled with reasonable bandwidths assigned, the link load does not appear to be a problem.

This is just a feeling to throw into the ring and see what other lower power ASG users think?

2 NICs - internal intel pro 100/1000
http/s proxy standard mode
IPS
Socks
SMTP proxy outgoing
POP3 proxy
2gb ram
time managed PF and HTTP profiles
VoIP security
ADSL2+ (naked) 5000/900

Hi Ian,

My single VOIP line works fine at home, even with lots of p2p traffic, although I do (both) have QOS setup, and throttle the p2p clients to not use more than 85% or so of my bandwidth.

Is the VOIP quality always bad, or only under certain traffic patterns?

Hi Barry,
My wife complains it is always bad, but then she is like most users it always doesn't work.
The voip does seem worse on the Atom 330 box than the AMD 5050e box.

At the moment VoIP is not reliable, I changed ADSL connection (same ISP) and the new connection is not stable. Trying to figure out how to convince the ISP that there is a problem. I have to wait for a change to roll through and see what happens in the morning.
