What are the "failover events" in Hot Standby Configuration

Hi, we have two ASG 320 configured in Hot Standby mode.

I was wondering what the failover events are?

I mean when does the Master shut down and the Slave becomes the Master?

Is it enough if and Interface fails or does the whole Appliance has to fail?

yeah basically Either
(i)a system failure or
(ii)heartbeat signal interface failure or
(iii)both
