Up2Date prefetch failed -- for 3 days.

I was gone for a few days and when I got back I had 68 emails of 
"Spam Filter cannot query database servers"

When I take a look at the email right before that, it says that Up2Date prefetch failed at the same time as the Spam error... 3:24 A.M.. on 12/19/09...  (All 12 Authentication Servers failed) and did not start working again until today 12/21/09 at 9:09 P.M.

Tons of the error 129 after that.

I did not see anything in a quick look on the forum.... Any idea why this might have happened????

I had not logged into the Astaro box in any way for about a week....

    Hi Greg,
    how did your exams go?

    Have a look at your internet connection log to see if there have been any network outages, that the main reason I receive those messages.

    HI Ian,

    I passed all my classes with an A. [:)] Thanks for asking.

    I did look at my Internet connection graph, and there was no outage. (But I did not look at Astaro's...yet)

    But after you mentioned that... a thought came to mind. I still have the Astaro in my test area which is connected to my Internet switch via a patch cable that has the 'lock' broken off one end.  When I got home I booted my server and it did not get an IP... (New build with no roles yet, so no fixed IP yet.) so I had to push the cat5 from my Internet switch back into my test switch, making them connected again. Mystery solved! And, yes, Astaro's graph has a big gap for those exact days.

    I REALLY need to buy a new patch cable for that connection.
