I updated my network at home with VLAN and now the connection to the internet is very slow. Sometimes I get an error message from my Astato Gateway like "Host not found" or "DNS resolution timeout". Reloading the site or pinging the server did sometimes work. When the IP is resolved the site is loading, but often very slow.
My network:
My switch is a Netgear GS108T. The DSL Router is connected to an untagged port. The Astaro Gateway is running in VM Ware Server. The server has a Intel PRO/1000 GT network adapter. One virtual of that for the external VLAN and one for the internal VLAN. The port of the switch is set to tagged.
When I set a network adapter of the Astaro Gateway to VLAN, no pakets are coming in. [:S]
What could be the problem? The VM Ware Server?
