Memory use increasing as teh days go by

I have posted previous to no avail, my astaro build will gradually eat up all 3GB memory that is installed in about 4 days requiring me to reboot the box 3GB is a lot of memory for a firewall, UTM device to have especially since i am not using most of the functionality yet .. Top shift -m do not reveal anything that would add up to what the dashboard shows as 75% usage..can someone help, i have one packet filer rule and that is to allow internal to access the wan i have 1 open vpn  remote access setup (me) ips  and thats it..please any suggestions..this is strange considering when i ran on a box that was using an older socket 478 Intel Cpu at 3.0Ghz with 3GB ram the memory usage would stay around 15 % all of the time..I am running this in a home environment so i a m not sure why this is happening.  I have installed other firewall distros (pfsense, untangle) on this same hardware and memory usage rarely goes above 15-20 %

Thanks for any assistance i do not want to change to any other distro because i really love astaro and its total feature set but if this continues to happen i will have to move to another solution

    Well since i have have received no assistance in why my memory usage just goes higher and higer by the hour with 1 packet filter rule, i even disabled IPS...  i will be moving back to a Cisco solution.
    My memory usage hit 95% in just 3 days and 4 hours . There is no reason that the memory usage should continue to grow with just basic home usage.

    Thanks for the older builds but 7.501/502 is not prime time ready,
    i really enjoyed my time working with ASG . It has great potential.

    Hi,
    I would suggest you have a configuration error, that causes memory usage to grow.
    But as you haven't posted any real specific details it is very hard to identify issues.

    Im not sure what would be configured incorrectly being that i have 1 packet filter rule to allow internal lan to access the wan. Im not even using IPS etc..someone told me to disable hyper threading in the bios which i have done but why would that be a solution...The 2.6.x.x linux kernel should benefit from the older technology of multi threading. This same config has worked verywell in similar hardware..

    Hi,
    Hyperthreading has caused some problems in the past and disabling it removed the issue. For a home user there is no real benefit unless you are pushing through high megabyte sessions continuously. I don't disagree with you, but I built a box with HT and had a large number of performance issues, disabled HT and all was good.
    Others have had similar experiences in the past.

    The problem sounds like a configuration, not necessarily ASG, possibly BOIS.

    Grasping at straws, try a bios reset and check that all devices are pushed in fully.

    Ive just disabled Hyper Threading in the Bios again, but this time instead of having 2x2GB sticks of DDR2 800 installed, i removed 1 of them so i will just have 2GB of Ram instead of the useable 3GB due to ASG being 32Bit..I also instead of using the on board Graphics controller i installed a pci-express graphics card ..Im just trying to narrow down what could cause this memory usage increase which has never been an issue with other distribution..But i am willing to work with ASG since this is my favorite distribution. 
    I will report on results in a few days ..hopefully the ram usage  stays the same

    Im not sure what configuration error it could be , This box works very well for other distributions, i have just decided to move back to an older socket 478 machine which doesn't have the same issue.. strange when Top does not show exactly what the dashboard memory usage is. in my older machine its very close , but the hyperthreading machine it was about half off.The dashboard would say i am using 75& memory and Top would show me using about 50% both way too high for me to be comfortable with especially when i run a test environment at home and there is never that much extreme data traffic
