7.502 Up2Date Available (Soft-Release)

Greetings,

7.502 is now on our FTP site and available for manual download & installation. Following our soft-release schedule, we will push this Up2Date via our Content Distribution Network on December 14th.

This Up2Date is a stability release designed to keep your Astaro Installation running smoothly. 

This release offers a new version of the SSL VPN client with some fixes and improvements, and we have also changed the HTTP proxy option for handling encrypted zip files to be consistent with other areas of WebAdmin. The checkbox option now says "Block unscannable content"  (as it did before 7.501), instead of "Pass unscannable content".

The feature remains the same, we've just changed the way the option is presented to the user. Note that your existing configuration won't be changed; if you are already blocking these files they will stay blocked, if you are not blocking them, they will continue to pass.

    I'd say that there ARE some more fixes included...my SMTP-Footer issues is also fixed with that up2date ;-) (and it's not on the list)

    Hey, is that the issue that occurs if you have Astaro add a confidentiality footer that corrupts certain email attachments?  If so, that's good news.

    There are defenitely a lot more fixes in this release. This release consists of 79 Mantis IDs. That doesn't mean there were 79 Bugs! It means there were 79 tracked changes which could be anything: a bug, a new feature, cosmetic changes etc. Additionally, a developer may modify several things at once, covered by a single Mantis ID. So just the number of IDs doesn't exactly tell you how much has changed but it is a very rough estimate.

    The Up2Date Notes only cover the most 'interesting' (at least what we think that is most interesting for you).

    We could offer a complete changelog, yes, but our experience is that this only leads to more customer confusion than like it is at the moment. But who knows, it is very possible that this may change in the future (especially during beta-phases). Many issues involve very special knowledge about the actual problem - which 99% of the customers just don't have because they don't have the same setup as the customer who issued the bug.

    I hope that made it more clear.
