Dual port NIC Card recommendation needed

Hi all, 
I've got the need for a dual port LAN for an ASG box. I've had a look at the HCL and it looks a bit old & musty. 

So I thought I'd ask for currently available dual port cards that work with Astaro. I will be building a personal box and probably replacing 2 at work, so all levels of NIC are welcome.

    iirc, it's a Quad-Port NIC, and they probably make PCI-X and maybe PCIe versions.

    I think this is in the official HCL anyways, but I'm using a PCI-X Intel Pro 1000MT in Astaro 6.x. Afaik they're not available retail anymore.

    If you are unsure about NICs and don´t want to risk something, always make a decision for Intel NICs. You have a almost 100% chance they are supported by Astaro and also will be supported in the future.

    Hi Ölm, I wouldn't be quite so bold there... the Intel NICs on my Atom board weren't supported until 7.403, even though the boards had been around much longer; I initially asked about them in the 7.4 beta series..
    Also, iirc, the Intel Pro/1000 GT cards weren't supported until a while after the previous MT boards were no longer available.

    Intel NICs are great, but I'd always check the HCL (and ask on these forums if somethings not in the HCL) before buying anything.

    Ok,you are rightt, my previous post might be misunderstanded as "use Intel and you´re done in every case". That wasn´t what I wanted to say.

    OPf course, every new chipset on the market of any network card vendor  will need some time to be implemented. However, what I wanted to say is, that if you decide to use an Intel card, your chances ar best that it either IS already supported or at least will be  in the near future.

    Of course, if you really want to be 100%s ure , always use the cards listet in the HCL.
