Disaster recovery procedure

Hi,
I want to test a disaster recovery procedure.
I did a backup of my running asg 220 ver. 7.5.
I have a brand new asg 220, I connect to the webadmin interface on the default address 192.168.0.1 then start the automatic setup wizard and I have the possiblity to import a backup file.
I try to import the file but I get a "storage format version 37 > 33" message and
after that nothing happen.

What are the procedures in order to restore a previous configuration on a brand new hardware appliance f.e. in case of an rma?

Should I first upgrade the system to same version as the broken one?
I should first set some particular settings?

    In order for the config-backup file to work you need to have the same software version (or newer). The backup only includes configuration data and doesn't hold any software updates.
    So you will have to update first.

    so If your new ASG has 7.405 and your backup file was created with 7.5 you need to upgrad the box to 7.5 first.

    You will need to make sure the Disaster Recovery box is using the same version, or greater, than the production unit.  If you have both units at the same site, look at configuring them as a Passive/Active HA system; Since you have 2 220 units, this would be a good option and would automatically keep everything in sync.  I wouldn't try to use 2 of the older 220s, though, as they only have 512MB of RAM, and the HA subsystem does require additional resources.  If you have 2 newer units (Rev 2 or Rev 3), that's what I would do.
