Unable to install

I'm unable to install Astaro gateway onto my hardware, but both Untangle and Smoothwall install without issues.

The Astaro installation hangs at step 3. I believe it may be an issue with Astaro not liking the SATA disk controller.

Here's a detail of my hardware according to Smoothwall:

    I'm not sure why it says that about the hard disk, because here's how it's set up:

    Disk usage:

    I guess it's the stupid VIA chipset on this motherboard that's not compatible. That's sad, because I don't have any other hardware just collecting dust that I can use, and I can't really justify buying new firewall hardware for home use when what I have works just fine with other distros. [:(]

    I sure did.

    Regular install ends at step 3, and gives a generic message saying installation failed, remove the disk and reboot.

    The /nosmp option detects hardware for a very long time and then gives the same generic message.
