upgrade to 7.5 ends some video stream

ASG220  after upgrading to 7.50,  I can no longer stream from a Panasonic IP camera that uses viewnetcam.com  for access.   It definitely is caused by the new version.    My other cameras, Vivotek and SMC are still fine.

I can connect to the camera, and I can take snapshot photos, but I cannot see the live stream.   Panasonic justs says 'its an IP problem', without any other guidance.

How can I fix this?
thanks.

  • Do you have IPS enabled??
It makes a lot of false positives!
  • Yes.  I disabled, and it made no difference.

    Next suggestion please.
  • If the camera is outside the Astaro and you access it via the Astaro HTTP proxy, check the 'Content Filter (HTTP)' log.  Mostly, check the IPS log.  It wouldn't hurt to take a look at the Packet Filter log.

Do you see anything intersting in those?

    Cheers - Bob

  • no clues there.   I'm not seeing any blocks.

Because I am able to take snapshots it would indicate to me the video is getting through.  It just won't display.   It gives me an error message that Panasonic says is an IP problem , but they offer no other help.

This all worked prior to 7.5, so the question is, what did astaro change for 7.5, and now 7.501 which I installed yesterday hoping for fix?
  • In which mode is the HTTP Proxy running?

  • 'Bypass content scanning for streaming content'  was already on but I had to add the camera url to the Transparent mode skiplist to now get my video back.    Finally!

    thanks
