Home User --> Over 10 IP limit

Hi

I missed the 7.5 beta program. This is a request to get help overcoming my current situation.....

Wife's Laptop  wireless/plugged in  2 IP(s)
Personal Laptop wireless/plugged in 2 IP(s)
Gov laptop wireless/plugged in 2 IP(s)
Contractor laptop wiress/plugged in 2 IP(s)
Xbox 360 1 IP
DVR (Windows XP) 1 IP
HTPC (Windows 7) 1 IP
Home PC (Windows 7) 1 IP
ESXi local interface 1 IP

that's 13 IP(s)

and that is including that I'll not put a gateway on my HP printer and Dell switch

on my ESXi box I'd like to run a couple of VMs for work training etc..... ~ 4 IP(s)

so i'm looking at around 20 IP(s)

I missed out on the 7.5 beta so I see no way of upgrading my IP limit. 

Any insight into solving my current situation? I don't want to run multiple firewalls on my ESXi box to get around the 10 IP limit. And, I don't want to use anything other than Astaro.

    i m everytime really disappointed when Home user have to have more then 10 IP Licence. 

    As most of the people, bought some PC or Notebook they had to pay for the Licence of Microsoft Windows, or if they want to use the Xbox / PS3 online capabilities they have also to pay for it. 

    If they use an Personal Anti-Virus they have to pay for it every year to receive the Update. 

    But with astaro, it should be free cause of the home usage ???? 

    It ´s a fact that astaro is one of the best product on the Market, and it should stay so. 

    With the Home User licence, you receive the brand actuel version and not an old one or a Light version. the only limitation are the 10 IP´s. it s also to protect Astaro form some Business User using the home Licence for Business purpose.

    They re some way to have more than 10 ip´s.... Buying an Astaro Appliance or Software. 

    The list price for Astaro Software 25 IP´s is about 695,00€ ( EMEA Price ) + VAT and a yearly fee of 235,00€ ( EMEA Price ) + VAT 

    235 / 25 = 9,4€ per Year / per machine... 

    I don t think that so much money ... 

    or maybe some user have to reconsider their Security Priority regarding which Hardware has to be protected with Astaro and still using the 10 IP ´s

    Hi, I don't completely disagree with you, but think about this:

    1. 695€ is a lot of money for many people

    2. there are many free and/or free-for-home-use firewalls

    3. by giving away Astaro for home use, Astaro attracts users who may end up using Astaro commercially at work (such as myself), and who may otherwise have gone with one of the other choices.

    When I first started using Astaro, it was the _only_ free firewall I could find with a nice web-based interface. That's no longer the case, and it's also no longer the case that 10IPs is enough for the type of users that Astaro would hope to attract. 
    (Most regular home users are happy enough with a wrt-54g or similar. Also some ISPs including Verizon are now including routers which have full http content filtering capability and many other security features. I have one at home, sitting in the box as I immediately unplugged it.)

    I do realize Astaro has to balance against the fact that some small businesses will cheat and use the home-user version.

    BTW, I can think of at least 3 personal anti-virus apps which are completely free, including updates: AVG, Avast, and Clam. I've been happily using Avast for several years.
