ASG 7.405 Virtual Machine single to dual core

Hi,

iam using ASG w. Home License on VMWare Server 2 and installed and configured it using one vCPU. Now i have updated my Athlon 64 3500+ to a Athlon 64 x2 3800+.

my debian lenny host system recognized it without updating the kernel (SMP x64 kernel was installed by default)

i gave my firewall and other 2 VMs (vms and host are debian x64 and x32) 2 vCPUs and my 2 VMs recognized both vCPUs flawlessly after a reboot.

but my ASG VM not.

whats the problem here?

    Hey - a new thing which is a bug maybe!

    ive set up a completly NEW 7.5 Vmware image, and set the cpu limit to 2 cpus in vmware server 2.0 (debian lenny x64 host) before the very first start but the ASG means he found 2 cpus but uses only one and says it ignores the second - WHY it ignores a second cpu? any help around?

    btw. its not a real second CPU is a second core of the Athlon 64 X2 3800+
