In order to do a live demo of the ASG software, I installed it on an HP dx7500, which has a Core 2 Duo E7400 and the Intel G45 chipset. After figuring out that the onboard SATA controller had to be set to IDE/ATA mode and that I had to use a USB CD drive instead of the internal SATA CD drive in order to install it, I got through the install.
However, when I rebooted at the end of the install, it got hung at a black screen with a blinking cursor. I can get it to run by pressing Esc at the boot loader prompt and selecting Rescue... from the choices. That allows it to boot up and it runs fine after that.
I would like to know how to resolve that issue. is there some sort of startup options I can hard configure in the boot loader, or ?
Is there some sort of options I should have specified during installation to get around this?
Thanks,
