Backup Restore issues

Ok, here is my issue.  My log file partition got corrupt on me, preventing the system from coming up.  Hindsight being 20-20... I cant seem to locate a recent backup :-(

So... I pulled the drive out, and was able to mount the partitions, and locate the backup files in /var/confd/var/storage/snapshots and saved them off to another machine.  After that, I reinstalled the software on the machine, and have now attempted to restore the most recent backup.

I tried first by using a usb drive and having it restore on load... that did not work (not that it told me it failed.... just did nothing)

Next, I tried to upload the backup using the first time run wizard...  that says the backup file is 'corrupt' (all 10 of them??)

So... I have resorted to using the import feature in Webadmin... which first told me it was not the right extension... and when I adjusted it, it says 

One of the values you entered is syntactically or logically incorrect./QUOTE]

Does anyone have any ideas?  I dont remember all my settings, and would like to recover one of these backups!

    The first thing to check is that your Astaro is on the same or later version than your backups, ie if the backups are from 7.405 the Astaro will need to be on v7.405 in order to import the backup. So you may need to update the Astaro and then import the backup.

    Other than that just make sure there are the same number of interfaces in the new machine that were configured in the backup. If it still won't let you import the backup they may be corrupt. Hope it works for you good luck.

    Already tried that :-(  I fear they are corrupt... since its the same exact box.

    Although I dont know how they could have gotten corrupt....
