inteface has no connection

Hello

Last week I created an Interface on a free networkcard with a correct IP *.178, subnet and gateway, everything worked fine.

But since I made a test masquerading roule and delete it after that, I can't get a online link on the interface.

the IP is correct, subnet also, gateway too, but Link is down.
when i connect a notebook directly on the internet router with the same configuration on the same cable like firwall it works.

where is the problem???

    You can only have one default gateway - is that part of your problem?

    This also may be a hardware issue.  Try changing the interface to a fixed speed, then, if that doesn't work, to half-duplex.

    sometimes I'm an idiot and make stupid failure.
    I used a normal cable from router to the firewall instead a cross-cable.

    now i set a switch between the internet-router and the firewall, everything works.

    I prefer this version becaus they are more interfaces then ports in the internet router.
