Absolutle beginner - resetting the ASG120

Hi guys,

This is my first post - so sorry if its in the wrong place..


However, i have just come into possesion of a used ASG120, and i'd like to reset it to shipping condition (I have no passwords, documents or anything for it) and see what its like to use.

I have no idea about Astaro, so i havent even switched it on yet - im not sure what address the management is on either, so i thought i'd come here and ask for help first.

    if u really have no infromations - pwd's etc - the easiest way will be to do a new setup; connect usb-cdrom with burned iso and boot; 15min's later you have a new system u can access with the informations provided in manual

    If this is to be used with the free home-use license, you will need to begin by deleting the file that tells the device that it is an ASG appliance.  When you download the ISO, be sure to choose the software appliance, not the hardware.

    This seems to be the best idea - but I dont have a USB CD-ROM.

    The license isnt an issue - i have a 30-day trial one for it - but i just get the login to WebAdmin screen, and can't seem to get past that.

    Its still on V6 by the way?
