ASL 7.4xx upgrade/replace hardware

All,

Here's a hypothetical question...

If I had an ASL server and I wanted to either replace the disks or the server as a whole, does anyone have a procedure whereby I could either:

1) Copy database files en-masse to preserve user history

or

2) Copy across all of the logs and force the server to rebuild the database a-la 7.3 to 7.4 upgrade?

Also, is there a way I can preserve my mail quarantine?

Note I don't want to go down the route of using dd to clone disks and then extending partitions and file systems

Regards,
Stuart
