I might be a bit unclear on the concept here, but I have at least figured out that you need two network cards in the PC that you install Astaro on. That didn't seem to be mentioned anywhere, as in, "hardware requirements", for example.
Anyway, I am ready to install, and I am not sure if I can continue to use my Linksys router or not. The Astaro will take over all the functions of the Linksys? And, I have to stop using it? This is okay, I guess, but I will have to buy an ethernet hub, I use all four ports built in to the Linksys, so without the Linksys, I don't have enough ports. Also, I have a laptop, and the Linksys provides me WiFi. I guess I could make the Linksys be an AP only, but is this the only way?
I tried plugging the Linksys into the LAN port of the Astaro, but I couldn't get out from the inside, "destination host unreachable". I had DHCP off in the Astaro, but it apparently doesn't pass thru to the Linksys my static IP from my ISP. I searched here for "router", but apparently I'm the first person to have one?
