after reboot i have to enable/disable lan IF

Decided to give it a go and se if things have changed since last time i tested it.

i have it running vlan and working fine after i enabled disabled the attached vlan interface(eth0 for me)
ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig etho up

and it start working

if i login from console it seems fine(other that the net works ofcourse)

ideas?

    What happens if, instead of running ifconfig at the command line, you power-cycle your vlan switch?

    It's not clear from your post what happens when or what issue you're having.

    it´s a 3com 3300 with quite few things connected to it, but i can give that a try, however i´m also running pfsense with vlan trunking flawless, 

    it feels like software issue but i guess i have to dig in more into it

    this is the last in dmesg

    Ok, i´m giving up asl for this time
    i was only able to click on the "section" to the left, not the option itself then the browser halted and after 30sec "abort or wait another 30sec"

    used IE6 and firefox 3.0.8 with same result, tried restarting browsers with no luck

    P4 1.6 1gb ram
    well the latest...7.401 i recon

    when i restarted browsers it worked for a while, just bout enuf to get vlan trunking on the lan interface, then i had to restart browser every now and then, pretty strange,
