Pb with ASG7.401 Add new node and cluster

Hello,

I have one ASG 7.401 and i have added a second ASG 7.401 in cluster mode.
When i configure my cluster on actif-actif and select my first astaro on ID1 and my new astaro on ID2 i see the folowing message in HA log :

Can you help me ?

    Lester, did you follow the instructions for configuring a cluster?  Since you are installing this as a new cluster, perhaps you should start over with the second ASG freshly-loaded from the 7.400 ISO.
    [LIST=1]
    • Disconnect the Slave from all Ethernet connections, then reload from ISO.
    • Power down the Slave.
    • Make certain you have High Availability corrrectly configured in the Master.
    • Reconnect External, Internal and HA Ethernet cables.
    • Power on the Slave; the Master will have it download the 7.401 Up2Date and give it the files it needs.

    Even if you already did it that way, it looks like there's something incorrect, and, in your place, I woulld do it again.

    Ok,
    I have installed a new astaro 7.400 and after uptade it on 7.401
    After i have joined on cluster on ID2 but i have the following message :

    2009:03:31-13:29:15 mail-2 slon[4290]: [190-2] webanon_clients__rowno_seq')" PGRES_FATAL_ERROR ERROR: Slony-I: setAddSequence_int(): sequence ID 1 has already been assigned
    2009:03:31-13:29:15 mail-2 slon[4290]: [191-1] WARN remoteWorkerThread_1: data copy for set 1 failed - sleep 60 seconds 

    Any idee ?

    I don't think you can upgrade it to 7.401 yourself; I think that prevents the proper establishment of the cluster.  Please try it the way I suggested, and let the Master Up2Date the Slave to 7.401.

    Hello,

    In the first attempt, i let the master up2date the slave to 7.401 "first thread"
    In the second attempt , i have up2date manually the slave and after is up2date on 7.401 i joined it to the cluster.

    All I can tell you is that you must follow the Astaro guidelines if you want to have a cluster that "makes" - KnowledgeBase article #231737

    I have read the guideline and i made it exactly for my cluster.
    but i have always the same error :

    I'm sorry to hear that.  That was my best guess based on what seemed to be a conflict in the IDs.  The only other thing I can think of is to reimage both units, but you probably would prefer to avoid that.  If you can't open a support ticket with Astaro, we'll need to hope that an Astaro engineer or developer comes to this thread.

    It's pretty unlikely, but you might run the md5 checksum on the ISO to be certain that you got a clean download.
