Non-existent IP's counted against license??!!

OK I found something very strange last night.

I could not remember what IP I had put a managed switch on my network so tried to connect to various IP addresses that I had thought I might have put it on in IE.
The ip's I tried to connect to  (but are not used IP's) have now shown up in the licensing window under unmanaged IPs. I now have 16 ip's listed!!

Can someone else try this and see if it does the same thing?[:S]

  • I'd be curious what would happen if you added one of those phantom IPs as an additional address on the internal interface of the Astaro.  Does it disappear from the unmanaged or managed list?  If you then delete the additional address, does that cause it to disappear from a list? - or even to reappear?

    Thanks - Bob
