Install Not Working

I'm trying to run up a demo of Astaro at work on a spare desktop. I've installed an additional NIC and the install completes without any issues (under "classic"mode), the machine reboots and runs the start up procedure, then I try to connect to the Web Admin page and can't get anything.

I've tried re-installing all over again using the other NIC and still can't talk to the Web Admin. I've double checked the static IP (inc. DNS and Gateway) on the client machine.

I've run Astaro gateways up before and never run into this issue. I've tried installing version 7.302 and 7.303 and still no go. 

The motherboard is a Giga-byte, running on an Pentium D 2.8Ghz processor if that's any use.

Any suggestions/help would be very much appreciated.

    Have you checked that the NICs are on the Hardware Compatibility List?

    Ok, a couple of questions...

    In your setup, did you set the admin page to a custom IP or use the default? Did the install see both of your nics and if so, which one did you assign the admin page to? How are you connecting the webadmin page? 

    After those questions... If the setup saw both nics and you were able to setup the IP address, etc..., I would double check my cabling to ensure that the proper cable is plugged into the correct nic. (cable from switch going to the nic you set up for webadmin) Once you verify that, double check your IP Address (one more time) on the PC you will be using for admin. Make sure they correspond on the same subnet. (Ex: Astaro 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0 and Management PC 192.168.2.2 255.255.255.0) 

    Once that is done, make sure you are plugged into the same switch (or on the same network if using wireless on your management PC) 

    You "should" be able to ping the Astaro box via command line. If so, make sure your browser is pointing to https://192.168.2.1:4444 (Or whatever IP you set it up as. Equally important is to use is HTTPS before and the :4444 following.

    Hopefully, after checking things through, you will be able to get right in. After reading through the forum and first hand experience, it seems a lot of people either plug the cable into the wrong nic, don't have the computers in the same IP range or don't use the https or the :4444.
