Installation Failed

Hello All,

I have the latest ISO and burned it correctly to a CD.  Upon installing it into the box I received an "Installation failed" next it asks to removed CD and restart the system.  Before doing so, I looked at the other consoles and notice that I saw the following:

 unmount /des/proc

There are a whole list of directories displayed.  I've downloaded and burned 2 discs both of them behaved the same.  I also installed another application on the same box and it was successfully installed.

    Not far at all.  There is a screen that warns you about erasing the drive and to hit F8 or something like that.  I hit F8 and then the screen flickers and then I get the installation failed.

    Hi there,

    During the install process, one of the consoles should show the reason for the failure. While it might not be the last line of the console, scan through the alt+Fx screens and see if you notice anything out of place or erroneous. Are you seeing the errorafter the end of the installer during the actual install process, or near the beginning before the hardware detection? Usually if you make it all the way through the install process to where it actually begins, and then it fails during the installation of files, a CRC error/failed checksum will be the culprit, and you should redownload the iso and burn it again, perhaps at a slower speed to avoid any CD errors.

    Thanks for your reply.  I just finished swapping out a whole bunch of components from this box that I'm attempting to install it on.  Still no luck.  I had an old version ASG 7.2 laying around that I know works perfectly.  Used it and still no go.  I looked carefully and it bombs out on step 3 of 7.  You can't really ran a "lspci"
