This is not a live environment, I'm using astaro as a seminar project. My question: what should the physical topology look like? I would like to route all traffic on a small LAN (5 computers max) through the ASG and also have a Windows server behind it for FTP/HTTP requires. Here's my setup:
DSL drop to a wireless gateway > 192.168.1.1
All clients connected to the dsl wireless router/gateway
Astaro machine
192.168.1.2 (WebAdmin NIC) ( Would like external to WWW)
192.168.1.3 (Would like to use as the gateway IP for client machines)
192.168.1.4 (Demilitarized zone - little to no use)
Client1 (Mac) -192.168.1.5
Client2(Windows)-192.168.1.6
Client3(WinServer08')-192.168.1.7
I would imagine the ASG machine (192.168.1.2) should be the only one connected to the DSL router, and perhaps 192.168.1.3 (and all clients) on a separate hub with connections being bridged? From there its all software config?
Suggestions? Am I on the right tract?
