Ha problem

Hi all,
I cannot install a HA Active/Passive architecture between two ASG 220 appliances
My configuration is the following:

- 2 ASG220 appliances
- The master ASG220 with v. 7.303 of firmware release and the slave with v. 7.305
- The appliances are linked through eth3 nic
- I have applied "Automatic configuration" on both ASG220

My first question is: It's possible to install a HA between two appliances with different firmware?
If this is possible, I don't understand why does not work.
Differently I have a second problem: I cannot upgrade my master ASG220 to v. 7.305 because in HA architecture is necessary only one maintenance license, and this was applied on slave appliance.

Thank You in advance

  • I believe they both need to be the same version initially... at least that's how I've always done it.  I would contact your reseller; they should be able to get you a short term temp license for that master 220 so you can up2date it to match... and if that doesn't work, they can start a case with Astaro so you can get it resolved quickly.
