I have a question about setting up the Astaro Virtual Security Appliance.
I have Windows 2003 Server running VMware Server 2.0
I have 3 Physical NIC's in the Server.
I am using Cable Broadband.
On the Server NIC #1 is connected to the LAN and Bridged for VMnet0
NIC # 2 is connected directly to my Cable Modem. (I do not have a statis IP so the cable modem hands out one DHCP Address on the Public Internet)
NIC #3 is connected to the LAN.
It was my thought to somehow configure the Astaro Virtual Appliance to use NIC#2 and NIC#3, so it basically would mimic a physical machine with it's own two NICS.
When I try this I am unable to get the cable modem to pass thourgh the DHCP Address to the Astaro. The Address is aquired by the Windows IP Stack on the Host Windows Server. I am wondering what do I need to do to configure this to work? What do I setup on the Windows Server side, and what do I need to setup on the VMware side?
