Join 2008 domain

Hi all,

I try to let my Astaro 7.305 join my ads domain which is running in 2008 mode.

I set the hostname to astaro.mydomain.lan
I set an dns request route mydomain.lan to dc1.mydomain.lan
The Astaro system time and date and time zone matches the dc1 clock
A ping check ftom the tools page is ok
host -t srv _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.mydomain.lan results in _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.mydomain.lan has SRV record 0 100 389 dc1.mydomain.lan.

With this all set I try to join the domain using all uppercase for the doman, and I verified the credentials using the Test Settings tool on the bottom of the Active Directory page.

I get the dreaded 'Joining the domain failed'.

The fallback log shows:
2008:12:15-21:42:04 (none) [user:err] net: [2008/12/15 21:42:04, 0] utils/net_ads.c:ads_startup(289)
2008:12:15-21:42:04 (none) [user:err] net: ads_connect: Server not found in Kerberos database

Any ideas? Is 2008 mode supported?

    If your Domain is in 2008 native mode... you're out of luck until the 7.400 release is out (should in a week or so, maybe sooner)... 7.3xx and previous versions do not play well with 2008 DCs.  If you're in a hurry, go ahead and try out the beta, you can get it here:  Index of /Astaro_Security_Gateway/v7/beta   Use the regular "asg" iso if you're installing on a custom PC, etc. ... use the "ssi" image if you are using an official ASG appliance.  You should be able to restore your current config file (back it up to your management PC) onto the beta.  I recommend up2dating the beta all the way up to 7.380 before joining your domain (there were some glitches in earlier beta releases).
