What would happen if ASG license expires?

You are locked out of WebAdmin.  No Up2Dates will arrive, meaning that you don't get firmware updates, IPS signature updates, anti-virus updates, etc.  You cannot get support from Astaro.

So, you aren't cut off abruptly, but you are unprotected from the newest threats.  I'm curious, if you don't intend to replace the Astaro, why let the licensing expire?

Is there really no WebAdmin login possible??? Our license will expire in a few weeks and we have not yet any information, if we will keep it in this license term.

I was waiting for this question since the Sonicwall debacle.

Bob is actually incorrect a bit (it does happen every year or so [;)] )
If you are using a paid version of Astaro with a valid license key, and the Maintenance subscription expires, you are NOT in any way locked out of WebAdmin, and can login and still use firewalling, NATting, and other non-license dependent features for as long as you like. However Up2Date will no longer function and your installation will not be able to fetch any patches, updates, fixes, patterns etc..as mentioned, support will also be invalidated at this point. 

If your web and/or email subscriptions expire, the areas of WebAdmin that are "locked" by these features will be toggled off. So depending on your security setup, mail and web communications might be disrupted. However you can still create policy to allow websurfing and pass through (forward) emails to your server without mail and web licensing, if you need to do this while you make your decision to renew or not.

It's important to note however that the Astaro licensing center is in NO way tied "live" to any Astaro unit, so that any failures on our end will in no way affect operation of our boxes in the field. In addition, we take strong efforts to ensure our admins are never surprised by a key expiring, sending them notifications well in advance and increasing the notifications as the deadline approaches, followed by continuing ones after a key is expired.

In regards to the locked-out-of-WebAdmin situation, this DOES happen but only with boxes that are using evaluation keys, since our thinking there is that if someone receives an evaluation box, when the key expires they should be making arrangements to purchase or get an extension via the sales contact they are working with. But again, this is not the case with paid versions of Astaro, you are always able to get into webadmin regardless of key status, license server status, or internet connectivity for the box.

Angelo, i attached the license info  to the board.
Our boss will come to us in the middel of Januar (15-20) again and make the decision. Can we work until then? We do not need to make any changes on the two firewall... What do you think?
