Have an original 220 with 512MB memory. For the most part things work ok. Memory usage is always high and we get several cpu spikes daily, but for the most part it's bearable. Except when it comes time to apply new up2date packages.
From release, it generally takes several days for the automatic u2d process to pull in an update and because of the limited memory on the box, manually applying a package through the WebGUI is a nightmare involving turning off all features (to free up memory), WebGUI timeouts, and multiple reboots. Both of these situations are violations of our company security policies.
Within the past couple of weeks, I saw a post here on the forums where someone asked how to download a package from an Astaro FTP server directly into the Astaro box from the Shell. He got a reply with the necessary commands to make this happen.
I failed to print out or bookmark the instructions and now can't find the post. Does anyone happen to know the commands I would need or have a link to the original post? I'd like to give this a try when the next Up2Date package rolls out and see if it's a reasonable alternative to solve my updating issues.
Thanks.
