Backup/Restore

I installed the Astaro Software Gateway Software a few weeks ago and last night my hard drive failed. 

It occured to me that I had backed up the Astaro systes using it's backup utility however it was saved on the same drive that crashed.  Naturally I had to reinstall the system from scratch and after that fun I decieded to try to back it up to another drive.  At this point I must be dumb but after exploring all options within the Astaro Management Backup system, it seems to me that the only drive I can backup to is the current drive that Astaro is installed on.

I then thought I would see what the "Download" function does so I clicked on that and got the message at the top of IE that I needed to click here to install a file. I installed the file and it just resets the Astaro Web Admin login screen so that I have to login again.

I must be missing a few things because I can't understand how I can backup the Astaro system to another location so that I can restore it if my drive crashes again.

What am I missing?

    You should be able to download a backup file in your browser. I know it works fine in Firefox.

    Also, you can have backups emailed to you each night or each week.

    can't remember all the settings they are listed in the portal window, but i know i changed the security option to "Automatic prompting for file download" to enable.. sorry i can't remember the rest and iam can't login to the portal now..

    Thanks guys I found the problem. 

    With IE 7.0 you must have "Download Unsigned ActiveX Controls" enabled or at least set to "Prompt" or IE warns you with the yellow bar at the top of the browser and then whe you tell it to download the file anyway, it just logs you out of Astaro's WebAdministration.
