I tried that before Astaro began offering a custom key that emulates a CD instead of a hard drive. My linux skills weren't strong enough. If you figure out how to do it, please share with the rest of us.

I got it last week, as my boxes were really not working, you just plug it in and switch the box on, it boots up from the stick and it reinstalls itself in about 15 minutes (mine came with 7.302 I think, so I had to update afterwards)
