We installed a brand new ASG 120. Currently have about 20 office users. Firmware is 7.302
After installing the ASG 120 behind the existing DSL modem (we just switched it to bridge mode) we have a very unreliable internet connection. It seems to cycle every 20 minutes or so. For a while pings will be reliable, than after a 20 minutes or so we might drop 20-30 percent of all the packets for 2-3 minutes. Then everything goes back to normal.
Pings from the lan to the ip address of the Astaro's internal nic are very reliable. Never dropps packets even when the internet goes down.
I can't see anything in the logs. The PPPOE logs do not show the connection going down. We have disabled all IPS and other service. The only it is doing is standard Packet filtering with the SMTP scanning.
Where can I look? Astaro support was no help, they remoted in for a few minutes and said everything looked fine. Our ISP says they do not see the link changing. And we didn't have this issue until a few minutes after the ASG120 was put in place.
The filter logs do not show and packets being dropped. Utilization looks low. The only thing I see is that the PPP adapter from ifconfig shows a txqueuelen of only 3?? Is that normal? It seems low.
Please help.
