HP Proliant DL160G5 with NC320i NIC not working with Astaro 7.3

We just got our new firewall:

HP Proliant DL160G5
Intel QuadCore 2.0GHz
2GB RAM
dual 160GB SATA RAID-1
2xNC320i Gigabit NIC on motherboard
1xNC364T PCIe 4Port Gigabit NIC 

Total of 6 ports ready for use...but Astaro 7.3 does not recognize the onboard NC320i NIC's!

Any ideas on how to fix this? I really need to get this going by friday so im thinking of getting a Intel Pro/1000PT Dual Port Gigabit card but i'd prefer to get the onboard NIC's going...

    If the Astaro HCL does not list your specific NICs (or system, since these are onboard) as supported, there's no guarantee that they will work.  If they don't show up now, and you are on a commercial license, contact support; they will likely get you to send them a lspci dump for further inspection.  Adding support for new NICs often requires a recompile of the kernel, etc., so there's probably not a fast workaround for this. My advice would be to go ahead and add the NICs you need with an Intel card (make sure the chipset used is on the HCL).  I've had very good luck with intel NICs and Astaro.

    Yes - I understand that my situation probably won't be solved by a Astaro update before friday. I was thinking of returning this server to the supplier and get a better model (such as a DL360G5 with supported NC373i NIC's) but it seems non-returnable so I'll settle for the Intel card and hope for a Kernel upgrade in the future.

    Astaro 7.3 seems very nice - and very fast on the QuadCore server. We've been using a Astaro 5.2 server for four years now on a Dell Poweredge 2650 2.2GHz Xeon but it's been troubling us with error messages during reboots so we've decided to replace it.

    Got the new Intel NIC today and im installing Astaro 7.3 as we speak.
