Hi,
last week we have upgraded our firewalls to 7.301, coming from 7.202.
Now we notice, that our firewall requires authentication for FTP sessions, even if we add the server(s) to the exclusion list (webadmin - Web Security - FTP - Advanced). That is to say: for one of our Linux servers (Debian 4.0) we get a 407 Authentication Required message whenever we try wget or apt-get (or something similar), whereas our Windows2003 Server FTPs to the Mcafee website (almost) flawlessly.
Trying the same thing with HTTP gives the same result; so adding or removing the server to HTTP - Advanced - skip transparent mode gives the same 407 Authentication required message.
I'm rather puzzled why this is happening. [:S]
Can anyone confirm that this is a new "feature" of 7.301? Or is this solved in 7.302 (we hope to install 7.302 Tuesday Sept 30)?
