HA sync failed?

Hi all,

we had to restart our master node after freeze and slave took over without any problems.

But in the HA logfile approximately every half an hour this error message appears:


FATAL  main: Cannot connect to local database - FATAL:  the database system is in recovery mode
2008:09:16-12:50:26 (none) slon[3811]: [2-2]  - sleep 10s

It this a serious problem ?

We are using two nodes with 7.301 .

It is really urgent now:

Our master stopped smtp transport for second time but accepted incoming mails, which is absolutely not correct. At this time, HA Log had the same errors AND POP3 Proxy log told this several times:

Can't connect to database, retrying in 10 seconds: FATAL: the database system is in recovery mode

And some pgsql errors appaered in SMTP log.

Seems to be when the old master node crashed (freeze), the database isnt recoverable?

If the secondary node is master, everything working fine, but if we switch to the crashed node to master system make this problem.

Hi eserzet,
It is really urgent now:

If you have a Supportcontract you should contact your Reseller. He should be able to help you, or at least be able to open a Supportcall with Astaro.
