HDD failing om ASG 220

Hi, I have an ASG 220 that has been randomly freezing. After logging the system I found the following:

I am under the impression that one of my drives is failing or failed. That being the case, is it as easy as just replacing the drive and rebooting and having the OS rebuild the mirror or is there more involved? If that error is not a drive failing does anyone have an idea as to what it is referencing?

    If you have support, it is as easy as opening a case and we'll send an RMA ASG220.

    Yeah, failed to renew the contract so here I am begging.

    The only thing you can do is to replace the hard drive (it takes a laptop drive, 2.5" EIDE) and reload.  Without support you obviously haven't been getting pattern updates or system up2dates...  these are important to make sure the device will defend you against the latest attacks, etc.  There is no mirror on a 220; you will have to reload from scratch (using a USB CDROM drive and the Appliance ISO), reapply your license, and restore the configuration (if you have it on hand) or reconfigure from scratch.

    Theoretically speaking [:D] Could I ghost an image of that disk and then burn it to the new disk and not have to worry about the license?

    Marty, your license is stored in both the User Portal & the Configuration backup, since you purchased your base license you're fine but for the updates unless you have a maintenance license you're kinda SOL

    I'm sure you can renew that contract back to the expiration of the other one.  It's either worth paying for updates or not important to have the protection.

    I'm sure you can renew that contract back to the expiration of the other one.  It's either worth paying for updates or not important to have the protection.
