Hi,
I have ASG 7.301 (had to go through hoops to get it to upgrade from 202) running in a virtual machine, VMWare workstation, with the external NIC in the host OS only bound to the VMWare Bridge Protocol.
2 NIC's, 1 using DHCP to the external net, the other static and int.
No esoteric setups.
The machine keeps loosing network connectivity to the Internet, even through nothing bad shows in any log file I can find, the links still shows as UP and with the same IP address.
The DHCP log shows it is recieving a DHCP address and then recieving the DHCP ACK, so it is retaining the IP address on renewal.
It shows the lease time as 900.
But about every 7 mins, the connectivity drops, nothing in or out, I need to press renew,normally a couple of times, or then need to down the NIC, leave it for a short while, then bring it back up, and fingers crossed it comes back to live, but with a new IP address.
As I work and use a VPN through the ASG, and this keeps getting hammered and I use DDNS for the internal mail server, this is kind of crippling.
Any suggestions, please ?
