Hey all, just a heads up.
I set up a brand new ASL from scratch, installed 7.20 ISO and up2dated to 7.30 then restored a backup from another system. Lots of problems.
The problems relate to the fact that when installing the 7.20 ISO I choose a different interface IP address to that used on the live system.
(ie I used 192.168.0.1 instead of actual 192.168.3.1)
After restoring the backup, things seemed to be running however:
Login prompt shows IP as 192.168.0.1 instead of .3.1
SMTP failed to bind correctly, DNS issues.
I could see the DNS server trying to make requests out from 192.168.0.1
This is despite the fact that after restoring the backup, all interfaces showed the correct IP addresses.
I assume something that should be overwritten by the backup restore isnt in fact getting done.
