Tryed to download the update manuly and was able to get the file local to my PC but when trying to use the manual pacage update through the Webadmin the dam thing seems like it is uploading, Gets to 99%, Then just sits there for about 5 min then times out and i get refreashed to the login screen. Log back in the nothing is there to apply.
Can the 7.202 backup files be aplyed to the 7.300 build if I reload with the 7.300 ISO? If the up2date will not down load and I can not manualy upload then I don't know what else I can do.
PS I did down load the up2date package from 2 difrent download sites and both would not upload all the way.
It took a long time when I manually uploaded 7.3 to my asg. I would suggest increasing the webadmin logout time as it sounds like it's set to 5 min and interfering with the upload by logging you out.

Thank you for you sugestion. I have gotten the update now through the normal download so I am all set. I will keep the time out setting in my back pocket for future.

I was bothered by not getting new patterns due to 7.300 causing so much load, so I decided to manually upload 7.300. This is for a 220 v1. I tried several times to upload the package to the 220, but it would fail each time, causing many services to crash during the process. I finally figured out the "trick". I disabled all proxy services, IPS, and remote access to free up resources. Only then would the upload of the package work. When the upgrade was complete, I turned back on all of the services I had disabled.

What Scott mentioned will work (freeing up the resources); there is a known issue on Astaro units that have 512MB or less of RAM, uploads of large up2dates (such as this one, which weighed in at over 200MB) that exceed 100MB in size will fail if you try to do it manually. The units will, however, still eventually download the up2date via the automated mechanism. It does take a while, though, since this is a huge up2date, and I imagine that used up the pipes they were using to distribute it. Nearly all of my customer's units have downloaded the update automatically, it just took a few days.
