Card becomes unpingable

I have three interfaces in my ASG 7.201 version.

One is internal
One is external connected to DSL
One is external (new) connected to Cable

The default gateway for the third starts to become unreachable from my network.  Comcast thinks it's the Astaro that is causing the problem, and I think it's possibly their cable modem.

Sometimes when I can't ping from the network though, I can ping the gateway address from the Astaro box itself, so it's a little confusing for me as to what might be the problem.

Any ideas?

    I think I'm going to swap out the network card and see if that helps any.  I can sit at my macbook and ping the gateway address, and it will just "stop" - then I go in and edit the interface details (usually I toggle the failover switch) and it starts working again for awhile, and then it stops again.  It doesn't matter if I leave the failover status on or off for it to work, so it's not that one or the other works "better" - it's just that making the card rethink it's configuration does something.  It doesn't seem to work to just disable and then reenable the card - I actually have to edit the interface!  So, I guess I'll try a new card and see if that changes anything.

    That said though - even when I can ping the gateway interface from my PC, the policy route doesn't seem to work - I end up going out the default gateway.

    Changing the policy route from a simple HTTP route to an "ANY" route from my PC is working just fine for now.  My hunch is that there is some kind of a bug in the policy routes in general, and I've seen a few other posts here where policy routes seem to just start working, so maybe I'll have to just hold on for a fix down the line.
