I am migrating a V7.201 server from VMware Server to ESX 3.5. As my old server was an early v7.004 appliance upgraded I downloaded the latest v7.2 appliance and then converted it to run on ESX 3.5 using VMware's Enterprise converter. This new server starts OK as a 'virgin' server and I can configure it as normal on the default IP Address.
I then took a backup on the old machine and powered it off, then tried to load the backup into the new one.
When browse to the file, and click upload as normal, but when I click 'Import Backup' I get a box popping up titled 'Information'. Displayed in this is the message 'One of the values you entered is syntactically or logically incorrect.'
The only difference at this stage is the source is on V7.201, and the target is still V7.2, until Up2Date catches up.
Anybody got any ideas?
As we have a complex set-up I don't want to have to do it all by hand!
