Are Backups Stored on the ASG

I had some email routing issues for about a week and didn't receive the daily backup ABF files during that time. I now have a problem with an ASG-220 which the Astaro support people can not seem to resolve and I need to go back and restore from a previous configuration.

Are the backup files which are send by email stored anywhere on the ASG appliance, or is there another way to restore from previous configuration?

Have you tried checking to see if they're still stuck in the mail queue?

On my 7.2 box, a 'find' command finds one abf file:

# find / -iname '*.abf'
./var/sec/chroot-httpd/var/webadmin/var/xx/download/cfg_xx/fw.example.net_7.104_2008-06-07_01-15.abf

based on the version and date, this is probably one that I created thru webmin, and not one of the automated nightly or weekly ones.

I saw the downloaded files on mine as well, but not the ones sent-out daily by email.

And did you check the mail queue manager in webmin?

One of the symptoms of my problem was that I was unable to use the WebAdmin interface. I was desperate to be able to manage the ASG again so restored from an old configuration backup.

After restoring, I was able to get in to the ASG through the WebAdmin interface again, and when I went to the Backup / Restore page, I was able to see all the daily backups and and download the one that I needed.
