Virtual appliance questions

Hi to all

I come across several problems and I would like to know if you can help me:

1) How can I add more NIC's ?
     It seems that it's only possible during installation, and using an virtual appliance makes that impossible to be done.

2) If I use a Internal - External - DMZ Configuration, the machines inside the DMZ cannot comunicate with the external network.This usin a 3 NIC configuration

Nic 1 - Internal 192.168.100.254/24
Nic 2 - External 192.168.150.254/24 GW 192.168.150.1
Nic 3 - DMZ 192.168.110.254/24

Routing Ok. 
DNS ok
Packet Filter is ANY->ANY

On internal net we can acess to google, on DMZ we can't

Any ideas?

    You can hack in more NICs by editing /etc/modules.conf
    Search these forums for modules or modules.conf for more info.

    This is officially unsupported and may void your support...

    Do you need to MASQ anything?
    Can you ping anything? e.g. the GW?

    Also, your packet filter is insecure... should be Internal Networks - ANY at most.

    Thanks I will do that, This is a test scenery so there is no problem wih that, i just don't want to install everything if i need another NIC for the tests.

    Yes I can ping the GW, and even I can do an NSLOOKUP, but the web traffic for instance, is either too slow or inexistent. What I realize is that when the 2 NICS are communicating for some reason they struggle  for the bandwidth or something.

    Yes, I know that the packet filter is wide open, but since its working on a VMware NET there is no problem with that, but thanks for the notice.

    MASQ = IP Masquerading... sounds like you don't need it.

    Is the VM doing any NAT or MASQ? That could be messing things up.

    Are the Int/DMZ networks you're setup conflicting with any other networks, in the VM or on the network?
