I am not sure how often many of you actually power your ASG off and on again.
I was making it habit after each upgrade for a while and then started only doing when I did a fresh installation.
After all the v7.2b testing I was seeing strange occurrences of traffic I had blocked and was seeing a continual low level of traffic on my DMZ. I blocked everything with logging, but nothing was recorded.
Well, my son the mad gamer decided the ASG needed restarting because his fellow gamers were having problems and rebooting their routers fixed problem. So he pressed the reset button, crash no clean shutdown.
The result the noise is no longer on my DMZ, both VOIP phones registered quickly and without any issues and the stray (blocked) traffic is not being reported.
I had QOS on both VOIP phones, but every time the ADSL link dropped I would have to disable QOS and fiddle with the ATA to get it to register. I don't have QOS on that ATA at the moment and it registers without changing it or the ASG configuration.
I couldn't find the reported application in any of the log files so I could add the details to one of the threads in the beta forum.
Might get brave shortly and restore QOS to that ATA.
Other little quirks, the ADSL link drops and re-connects and memory usage drops significantly. Then builds up slowly.
