Install RAID with ICH9R

Hi,
I try to install an ASG v7.2 in RAID using an ICH9R RAID cotroller. During the install, I see my to hard disk and not the RAID.
Do you know what I need to do to see the RAID volume instead of the 2 hard disk that are member of the RAID.

    Hi,

    ICH9 Raid is a fake raid. Windows need drivers to use this raid.
    As Linux have build in RAID software capability, there is no drivers for such a RAID.

    But it seems Astaro installer doesn't allow to create a software raid.

    Do you know where in can setup the compatibilty mode for the RAID usin ICH8R (fake RAID) on a HP Proliant DL 320 G5p. I can't find it !

    no as it's not supported by the astaro kernel.  YOu REALLY don't want to use fakeraid anyway.

    Do you think that the "HP Smart Array E200 Controller" should be compatible with Astaro ?
    I can't find it in the compatibilty list.

    FWIW, some of the HP Smart Array controllers use the cciss kernel module on Linux.

    I don't know about the e200, nor have I used an HP RAID on Astaro, but there is a cciss module on my ASL 7.1x filesystem.

    the e200 is a new card so it's not going to be in the current astaro kernel.  From my initial research this is an actual hardware raid card and not a FRAID card. not all raid cards are actual hardware raid..

    I would like to say that I would not consider the E200 a new card. I have been supporting it for over a year now for other linux products specificly the Suse Linux server.
